MoSys to Reveal Third Generation Bandwidth Engine Architecture for Delivering Robust, Low Latency, High Bandwidth User Experience

SANTA CLARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 30, 2014– MoSys, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOSY):

MoSys (NASDAQ: MOSY), a leader in semiconductor solutions that enable fast, intelligent data access for network and communications systems, is presenting at The Linley Group’s Linley Tech Data Center Conference 2014.

In his presentation, “Intelligent Offload Supporting Data Center Equipment at 100G+,” MoSys’ VP of technology innovation and system applications, Michael Miller, will discuss how firewall appliances have grown from single processor boxes to clusters of compute, route and inspection nodes, which perform sophisticated security detection and prevention measures, and how the distributed nature of cloud content drives East-West bandwidth inside the data center to levels many times larger than the bandwidth required to fulfill an end-user request.

MoSys will also reveal the architecture of the third generation Bandwidth Engine IC and how it can be used to offload memory centric operations enabling next generation packet processors to deliver the performance required by advanced data center networks.

Cloud computing is exploding and the industry is working to add a structure of standards and innovative solutions. These include Software Defined Networks, virtualization, network convergence, Open Compute, OpenStack, Open Data Center Alliance, APIs, and power efficient hardware.
The two-day, single-track event is the only one of its kind focused on the processors, components, and interconnects for data center networking and servers. The Linley Group will present an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends for designers of data center equipment.

The Linley Tech Data Center Conference takes place February 5-6, 2014.
